Years Selector Help

Select a single year:

Simply click on the chosen year.

Select several years at a time:

Click on each year while pushing on the Ctrl/Cmd key.

Select a range of contiguous years:

Click on the start year and then on the end year while pushing on the Ctrl/Cmd key.

Deselect a year:

Click on the given year while pushing on the Ctrl/Cmd key.

How to use this application

This application allows you to search, select and order any of the aerial photos or digital image strips which are available in swisstopo’s aerial photo database. The database is permanently updated with the latest image strips and historical images. The data in the application is updated at the beginning of each trimester.

1. Graphic search

   Click on the map and select the area of your choice with the appropriate graphic tools.

   

2. Search with attributes

   Choose the year or years of the flights.

   Choose image type (black/white, colour, infrared, image strip)

   Center on coordinates
   center the search on the coordinates

   Direct access
   search for cantons

   Search services
   The database contains the names in the National Map 1:25 000 (municipalities and SwissNames (placenames)).

   After you have chosen all of the search criteria, please click on 'GO'.

3. Show aerial photos

   All of the available aerial photos are marked with a red dot or a red line. By moving the cursor over the dot or line, the information of the image is shown in a separate window.
   Quickviews are available for images which have already been digitalised.

   In that window you can choose:

   • Order aerial photo
   • Display footprint on map

4. Select images

   The selected images can be added or deleted.
